
Eng. Ssebbugga Kimeze, PMP®
Eng. Ssebbugga Kimeze has working experience of over 35 years in the
areas of engineering, project management and consultancy assignments.
He served in Ministry of Works for 23 years where he moved from the
graduate entry point of Civil Engineer to Commissioner Level. He was
involved in design, construction and maintenance of roads. He was
involved in materials testing, geotechnical investigations and quality
management.
He worked in Uganda National Roads Authority for 5 years as Director of
Operations where he took charge of the upkeep and maintenance of the
national road network and ferry crossings.
For one year he served as an Acting Executive Director of Uganda National
Roads Authority.
During his time in Ministry of Works and UNRA, he managed several road
development and maintenance projects.
He is now a Principal Associate in Ashok Consult Limited where he is
involved in road management and capacity building projects.
Qualifications (Degrees)
I. Bachelor of Science in Engineering obtained from Makerere
University in 1985.
II. Master of Science in Engineering obtained from University of Leeds
in UK in 1985.
III. Master of Business Administration obtained from the Eastern and
Southern African Management Institute in 2011.
Membership and Responsibilities held in Professional Associations
I. Fellow of the Uganda Institution of Professional Engineers, (FUIPE).
II. Registered Engineer by the Uganda Engineers Registration Board,
(R.Eng).
III. Member of the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation
in United Kingdom (MIHT).
IV. Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators in United Kingdom
(MCIArb).
V. Project Management Professional (PMP) of the Project Management
Institute in USA.
VI. Served as President of the Uganda Institution of Professional
Engineers in 2002/03.
VII. Served as Member of the statutory Engineers Registration
Board from 2000 to 2006.
VIII. Currently serving on the governing Council of the Uganda
Association of Consulting Engineers.
