As PMI Uganda Chapter, we take pride in our journey of growth and achievement. Over the years, we have reached significant milestones that reflect our commitment to excellence and our dedication to advancing the field of project management in Uganda. Here are some key milestones in our chapter’s history:

2005 – Inception of PMI Uganda Chapter

  • In 2005, PMI Uganda Chapter was officially established as a local chapter of the Project Management Institute (PMI). This marked the beginning of our journey to promote project management best practices and principles in Uganda.

2007 – First PMP Certification

  • In 2007, our chapter celebrated its first Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. This achievement showcased our commitment to helping our members achieve professional excellence in project management.

2010 – Expansion of Educational Programs

  • In 2010, we expanded our educational programs to provide our members with a broader range of opportunities for continuous learning. We introduced workshops, seminars, and webinars to enhance their project management skills.

2015 – First Regional Conference

  • In 2015, PMI Uganda Chapter organized its first regional conference, bringing together project management professionals from across East Africa. This event provided a platform for knowledge sharing and networking.

2020 – Introduction of Agile Certification

  • In 2020, we introduced Agile certification programs to meet the evolving needs of project managers in an ever-changing business landscape. This step further solidified our commitment to staying at the forefront of industry trends.

Present – Ongoing Growth and Impact

  • Today, PMI Uganda Chapter continues to grow and make a significant impact on the project management community in Uganda. We remain dedicated to providing our members with valuable resources, networking opportunities, and support for their professional development.

Our journey is a testament to the dedication and hard work of our members, volunteers, and partners who have contributed to our success. We look forward to many more milestones as we strive to elevate project management excellence in Uganda and the East African region.
