Membership Questions

Q: How long does PMI membership last, and when can I renew it?

A: PMI membership is valid for one year from the date of your membership activation. You can renew your membership as early as 90 days from your membership expiration date. You can find your membership status in your myPMI profile on PMI.org.

Q: I paid for my certification renewal, did my membership renew as well?

A: No, there are separate fees and separate processes to renew your membership or your certification. Membership is on a one-year cycle, and your certification renewal is on a three-year cycle.

Certification Questions

Q: How do I learn more about the various PMI Certifications available?

A: PMI offers a comprehensive certification program for project practitioners of all education and skill levels. For a list of all available certifications and guidance on choosing the right one for you, please refer to the Certification section on our website.

If you are ready to start your certification journey, our ATP outreach VP can assist in identifying suitable training providers.

Q: I’m interested in preparing to sit for my PMP exam. Are there any preparation courses to help pass my exam?

A: Yes, we have partnered with a number of Approved Training Partners (ATPs) who can provide relevant preparatory training and coaching to help you prepare for your exams. If you need assistance in identifying a suitable ATP, feel free to get in touch with us.
